How does GeoVantage compare to imagery collected with a large format camera?
Large format cameras typically require a custom fitted aircraft that must be deployed along with the camera to the capture site. The GeoVantage system is based on a compact and portable camera design that can be shipped alone to the project region and easily fitted onto compatible single-engine aircraft at the capture site. GeoVantage has more than 80 sensors in its fleet, so we can respond rapidly and service clients worldwide.

Flight Test Comparison with Large Format Camera
In October of 2008, GeoVantage collaborated with a major aerial imaging firm to demonstrate our capabilities as compared to those of a more costly large format camera commonly used by this type of provider.

Both sensors were flown within an hour of each other on separate aircraft and submitted for immediate processing. GeoVantage produced a fully orthorectified color-balanced finished product virtually automatically during a lunch break.
