Joseph (Joe) Bernard
Vice President, Operations
Joe Bernard joins GeoVantage as Vice President, Operations. With more than 30 years of experience building and growing organizations, Joe has a keen ability to energize teams and deliver solutions.
Prior to joining GeoVantage, Joe served in multiple executive and management positions at Polycom Global Service (formerly PictureTel) where he surpassed business growth targets while maintaining focus on customer needs. Most recently, Joe was Vice President, Advanced Services at Polycom, creating a new global business unit focused on supporting complete customer solutions, not just individual products.
Joe was Regional Manager for Corporate Information Technology at General Electric Company prior to Polycom, where he designed and led projects to improve productivity and service in multiple GE business units within the region. Joe also served as Group Commander for the U.S. Coast Guard in Boston, MA, leading a 250-person organization that provided emergency and routine marine services to the coastal area extending from New Hampshire to Plymouth, MA.
Joe holds multiple advanced degrees: a MBA in Planning and Control from George Washington University, a MSSM in Engineering Management from the University of Southern California, a MSEE in Telecommunications from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and a BS in Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
